Hi, I’m Deborah Savadra, and I’m a freelance copywriter in the Mobile, Alabama metro area. I’ve been writing professionally for several years, specializing in information technology and Human Resources/Benefits. I formed my own company in 2000, and I’ve been an IT HR/Payroll systems consultant and assistant project manager for Morrison Restaurants, Ruby Tuesday, BellSouth, Owens-Illinois, and SecurityLink by Ameritech. During my career, I’ve worked on everything from marketing brochures to employee newsletters to computer systems requirements documents and user manuals. I started winning writing contests as early as elementary school, and soon I became my high school’s yearbook and newspaper editor as well as one of those annoying people who voted for the term paper over the final exam every semester at college. I have a B.A. in English (with a minor in Communications) from the University of South Alabama, and I’m now working on an M.A. in Public & Corporate Communications with special emphasis in “new media” and persuasive technologies.
